Celebrating the women in construction strengthening our projects, our teams and the future of construction.
What does it mean to “Level Up. Build Strong.”? It means pursuing growth with confidence. It means stepping into leadership, sharpening skills and supporting one another along the way. And it means recognizing that strong projects start with strong teams.
During Women in Construction Week, we’re celebrating the women across our company who are doing exactly that — leading in the field, managing complex projects, mentoring teammates and helping shape the future of our industry. Their stories reflect not only personal growth, but the collective strength that comes from working together toward a common goal.
Across our projects and offices, the women at Ronco are leveling up in meaningful ways. We asked them to share what that growth looks like in action — and how strong teams continue to drive strong results.
Alicia P. | Senior Project Manager
For me, “Level Up. Build Strong.” is a mindset.
It means never getting comfortable. Every project is an opportunity to improve — systems, communication and execution. Leveling up is about always pushing for better. Building strong comes down to the fundamentals: strong relationships, strong documentation and strong follow-through.
Support starts with clarity. I feel most supported when communication is direct and expectations are clear. Watching experienced leaders remain calm under pressure has shaped my own approach, reinforcing the importance of steady decision-making when challenges arise. At the same time, I’ve found that growth isn’t one-sided. Working with interns and teammates has sharpened my own clarity and leadership.
I aim to lead through consistency. Hard conversations are inevitable in construction but staying solution-focused and composed builds trust. I believe preparation is what builds confidence. This industry will test you and confidence comes from doing the work, knowing the details and being ready.
Being a woman in construction, to me, means walking into any room and knowing I belong. We’re here because we’re capable. In the end, performance is the standard — not gender.
Ceri K. | Assistant Project Manager
“Level Up. Build Strong.” really resonates with me. Ronco constantly reiterates “setting the benchmark,” and I carry that mindset into everything I do by constantly looking for ways to elevate my daily tasks and be the very best in my role.
I believe support starts with teamwork. And collaboration is key, whether you’re offering guidance or asking for it. You can’t grow alone in this industry — it takes a team willing to share what they know. Over the years, I’ve learned and grown tremendously from my mentors and teammates from sharing their lessons learned and working through challenges together.
As a woman in construction, I feel like my natural, motherly instincts often come into play. I’m always willing to lend a hand, offer advice or simply listen when someone needs it. That genuine care is something I see reflected across the entire Ronco team — people truly look out for one another.
The confidence I carry in my career is rooted in my support system. Being a woman in construction brings an added layer of empathy and understanding to the industry — and I’m proud to contribute that perspective every day.
Haley A. | Project Engineer
For me, “Level Up. Build Strong.” reflects the mindset of someone early in their career and eager to grow.
I see every project as a learning opportunity. Whether it’s gaining a deeper understanding of drawings, coordinating with subcontractors or helping solve problems in the field, each experience builds my skills and confidence. To me, leveling up means continuously improving — becoming more knowledgeable, more capable and more self-assured. Building strong means creating projects and relationships that stand the test of time.
I feel most supported when my team takes the time to explain processes and include me in conversations so I can understand the different layers of construction. In a fast-paced industry, those moments matter. When someone walks me through a challenge or asks for my input, it reinforces that I’m part of a team invested in each other’s success.
Being a woman in construction means contributing to an industry that builds real, tangible spaces people will use for years. It’s a field where effort, reliability and problem-solving truly matter. I’m proud to play a role in projects that make a lasting impact — and to bring my own perspective while learning alongside experienced professionals who push me to grow every day.
Stephanie Y. | Industry Engagement Manager
To me, level up is about always improving, expanding my skills, strengthening relationships, and staying adaptable in a fast-changing industry. It’s not just about moving up in title but increasing the value I bring to students, partners and the broader community.
Build strong speaks to foundation and sustainability. In industry engagement, that means building strong partnerships based on trust, mutual benefit, and long-term collaboration. It’s about creating programs and connections that don’t just work for today but continue to deliver results over time.
This industry has taught me a lot about confidence and resilience. I’ve learned that confidence isn’t something you’re simply born with. It’s built through preparation, repetition and pushing through uncomfortable moments.
Being a woman in construction today, means knowing I belong in the room and on the job site. It’s about showing up with skill, confidence and a strong work ethic while letting the work speak for itself.
Building Strength That Lasts
“Level Up. Build Strong.” isn’t just a theme for one week — it’s a commitment carried out every day across our projects and offices. It shows up in steady leadership, in the willingness to ask questions, in mentoring conversations and in the quiet confidence built through preparation and teamwork.
The women at Ronco are strengthening more than schedules and structures. They strengthen communication, collaboration and the culture that drives our success. From experienced leaders to those early in their careers, each brings a unique perspective that elevates the people around them and pushes our projects forward.
This Women in Construction Week, we celebrate their growth, their resilience and the example they set. When we invest in one another, pursue growth with confidence and continue setting the benchmark together, we don’t just build strong projects — we’re building a stronger future for our industry.
