Metonic Real Estate Solutions announces the groundbreaking of its upcoming multi-family development located in Blair, Nebraska, located just 25 miles north of Omaha. This new development will be the first major multi-family development within Blair in over two decades.

This 67,529 SF apartment complex will feature four three-story buildings with 132 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes. Units range from 541 SF to 1,265 SF. Outside of the units, Blair Crossing will offer 26 parking garages and a clubhouse featuring a 288 SF fitness center and a 304 SF great room for residents. With outdoor amenities, the complex includes a pool with a sundeck and an underwater bubbler feature, an outdoor kitchen with grill access, a fire feature and a dog park.

Currently, more than 60% of employees in the biotechnology industry in Blair commute to work, with Mike Rooks, the director of Washington County Economic Development, stating, “Businesses are struggling to recruit without housing in Blair.” Blair Crossing will provide ample housing for local Blair residents, as well as provide a solution to increase recruiting efforts, which will help grow the city’s localized employment opportunities.

Metonic Real Estates Solutions has selected Ronco Construction as the general contractor. Other partners include Ruff Grading, trb Architecture and Lamp Rynearson.

The groundbreaking for this project received nothing but positive reactions. Metonic President Kassie Inness says that, “Not a single person stood up in opposition to this project. That is almost unheard of in multifamily development.” In attendance, city representatives, including Blair City Administrator Phil Green, and key partners shared their support for this project’s beginning.
