Oak IQ Investments to Break Ground on The Reserve at Copper Creek, a New 289 Unit Luxury Apartment Community in Lenexa

Oak IQ Investments breaks ground on The Reserve at Copper Creek, a 289-unit luxury apartment community in Lenexa, with Ronco Construction as general contractor on December 12, 2025. The 289 unit Class A luxury apartment community will rise on a 14 acre site near 89th Street and Woodsonia Drive in Lenexa’s Falcon Ridge neighborhood.

The project will help meet strong housing demand along the fast-growing K-7 corridor, where city leaders have identified a clear need for new multifamily development. Local officials, community partners, Ronco Construction and Oak IQ leadership gathered at the site to celebrate the start of construction.

About The Reserve at Copper Creek

The Reserve at Copper Creek will deliver 289 modern apartment homes across a mix of building types. The design begins with smaller manor style buildings along Woodsonia and transitions to mid-rise and larger buildings near K-7. This approach keeps the eastern edge of the community in harmony with nearby single-family neighborhoods while allowing added density toward the highway.

Floorplans include studios, one bedroom, and two bedroom units. Residents will have access to a clubhouse, resort style pool with swim-up bar, fitness center, walking paths, green space, and a dog park. The architectural style is warm and modern, using durable materials and landscaping inspired by the natural character of west Lenexa with a luxury twist. The community is positioned to serve young professionals, families, and long term renters seeking a calm, high quality place to live.

Why It Matters for Lenexa

Lenexa continues to experience steady population and job growth, especially along the K-7 corridor. New employers, expanding industrial activity, and significant investment across Johnson County have increased pressure on local housing supply. Vacancy rates remain low, and many renters are seeking modern units close to retail, parks, and employment hubs. The Reserve at Copper Creek will add new housing options in one of the metro’s strongest submarkets, supporting residents who want to stay in the community and live close to where they work.

The development is also expected to support local businesses, create construction jobs, and contribute to Lenexa’s long term tax base.
