Building Luxury for Private Jet Travel

Jet Linx unveiled a new luxurious private terminal October 2023.

Jet Linx unveils its flagship private terminal.

Jet Linx set out on a journey in June 2021 to construct a state-of-the-art flagship private terminal at Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Neb. And in October 2023, that journey landed by unveiling a luxurious private terminal, designed like their brand itself — like no other.

Ronco Construction was hired as the construction manager for the project and worked alongside the Jet Linx team and architecture firm HDR. And that project was no small endeavor — the facility sprawls 70,000 square feet. It includes a private terminal, with a 6,600-square-foot glass-enclosed executive lounge, meeting space and expansive double hangar with 28-foot-high doors.

“We brought Ronco into a very delicate and politically-charged project,” explains Brad Henderson, CEO of Western LLC, the owner’s representative for Jet Linx. “Zak Olsen and his preconstruction team were an absolute pleasure to work with. We had very open and honest conversations leading up to formalizing the partnership and the entire Ronco team stood by every promise that was made.”

Construction officially began July 2022. The facility’s design was complex — demanding meticulous attention to detail and precise material selection. Code compliance was of the utmost importance and involved extensive research, consultations with experts, and continuous monitoring to meet aviation and building regulations.

“This project was a demanding, yet a rewarding endeavor,” explains Lance Claussen, Project Manager for the Jet Linx project. “It was a pleasure to be a part of something dynamic and complete an airport project, which was a first for me.”

This project showcases the result of collaboration and dedication, turning an ambitious dream into reality. The Jet Linx Private Terminal is more than just a building — it’s a symbol of how you can accomplish new heights of excellence when individuals work together toward a common goal.

The luxury facility is a combination of function and amenity. Private jets now occupy the two hangers, which are 29,204 square feet each. Inside the terminal, guests have access to a 350 square-foot waiting area with large, comfortable leather seating, an espresso and cocktail bar, and kitchen lounge. In addition, there are multiple offices and support spaces, a flight and pilot lounge, and second-floor private meeting space.

“This flagship facility stands as a beacon of luxury and excellence, exceeding all expectations and setting a new standard for executive airport facilities,” explains Claussen.

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Omaha, Jet Linx is a global personal aviation company providing aircraft management and jet card membership through local service at 21 locations nationwide.
