A multi-phase historic preservation construction of the Fidelity Storage Building, initially constructed in the early 1900s and designed by architect Charles Cleves. The building is home to Spaghetti Work’s flagship restaurant on the first floor and the 48-unit Vendor Square Apartments on floors two through five. The remodel included structural analysis and reinforcement work. The restaurant’s kitchen and bar areas, as well as the 1,500 SF event space, were updated. Exterior work included historic window replacement, and a new awning structure and dock. Historic preservation was top of mind throughout design and construction as the building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979 and designated an Omaha landmark since 1985 as part of the Old Market Historic District.
