Located at 26th and Farnam Streets and built in 1906, Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church is a white limestone structure in the German Gothic style with curved pews, skylight, stained glass windows and a bell tower that houses the original bell from 1862. Multiple improvements were made to this community construction project to ensure the stability of the church for future generations including structural improvements, repairs to the sanctuary and ceilings, reinforcement in the attic and crawl space, and historic replacement of the stained-glass windows.
