Ronco continues to set the standard in safety and mentorship across the industry.
Ronco Construction accepted its fifth consecutive National AGC Safety Award for 2023 from the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Nebraska Building Chapter. In addition, John Culver received the Quality People Mentor Award. The awards were presented at the Fall Social and Awards Dinner event held Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Lincoln, Neb.
“The safety award truly reflects the hard work and dedication of Ronco’s team in prioritizing safety,” says Mike Langford, Chief Operating Officer at Ronco. “Safety is a core value for us and a key to project success. Regardless of role or position, we look out for each other on the job to ensure everyone goes home safely to their loved ones.
This commendation was awarded for achieving a zero-incident rate for 110,000 to 274,999 works hours. Ronco has received 20 National AGC Safety Awards throughout our 48-year history. At Ronco Construction, safety is our number one priority. And we have many ways to keep safety top of mind like regular training and safety inspections. But the most important way is through our mantra of “See Something, Say Something.”
In addition to the safety award, John Culver, a senior project manager at Ronco, was awarded a Quality People Mentor Award by AGC. This award celebrates managers and supervisors who foster professional growth and inspire employees to reach their full potential.
John expressed his gratitude, saying, “Receiving this award means everything to me. I’m grateful for the incredible mentors I’ve had throughout my career, especially here at Ronco. Mentorship isn’t just something you learn; it’s an experience that encourages you to give back. For me, that makes this recognition all the more rewarding.”
John’s dedication to guiding and uplifting others embodies Ronco’s commitment to investing in its people, making him a valued leader and mentor within the company.
